Help:Editing an existing article

From Stanford CSD History

To edit an existing article, click the "edit" link at the top of the page containing the article.

If the article is divided into sections, and you only want to change something in one section, use the edit link at the beginning of the section.

By convention, sign your entries. There is a signature button (second from the right) on the edit bar. Or you can just enter three tildes (~) to get your username or four of them to get username and a date stamp.

If you have something to say, but don't want to edit the article directly, use the "discussion" link at the top of the page. Don't be shy if you're the first person to go there; the purpose of the discussion pages is to enable discussion of a topic without altering the topic itself.
