If you're looking for general "how to do it" help with using the wiki, there is extensive help about MediaWiki, the software that runs this site, at MediaWiki's Help page. You can find documentation of the wiki syntax, for example, there.
If you're looking for info on how to be a good wiki citizen, check out the extensive help on the WikiPedia site.
