As a Stanford undergraduate from 1963 to 1967, I was attracted by the computers in Pine Hall, and gravitated towards the Stanford AI project. This was before Stanford offered an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, so my Stanford education was in significant part outside of the classroom. After graduation I worked with the Stanford AI project as a staff member until late 1968, when I left the nest.

I have been working with Professor Gio Wiederhold to collect memories of "early computers at Stanford". I will transfer what we have gathered to this wiki, so we can more easily improve the record of those memories before they fade away.
