2009 Poster Sessions : Embedded Management Interfaces: Emerging Massive Insecurity

Student Name : Hristo Bojinov
Advisor : John Mitchell
Research Areas: Computer Systems, Theory
Abstract:
We give an overview of vulnerabilities in embedded, browser-based management interfaces in devices from a variety of categories and vendors: desktop and laptop computers, small NAS devices, security cameras, and picture frames. We discuss the causes of these vulnerabilities, and ways of avoiding them. An outline of planned future work is also included.
