"Cryptographic Solutions for Data Integrity in the Cloud"
2:30pm- 3:00pm

Abstract:

In recent years, "homomorphic encryption" has received much attention as a solution for protecting data confidentiality in the cloud. We consider the parallel problem of data *integrity* in the cloud. Specifically, if Alice uploads some data to the cloud that is processed by the server and then downloaded by Bob, how can Bob determine whether the result he receives is correct? "Homomorphic signatures" are a cryptographic tool that can solve this problem. In this talk we give an overview of homomorphic signatures and describe some recent advances in the field.
